Weekly Newsletter September 25-29th, 2023

Hello again! In this week's newsletter, you can find links to several cool new digital tools. You can explore the AI capabilities of Canva (with new features being unveiled very soon!), a fun tool that lets you create your own video animations using your voice, and a handy rubric that you can use when developing lessons in order to ensure that they are impervious to AI tools.  There are also links to various resources that Model Schools has to lend to classroom teachers. If you've ever wanted to use robotics kits or trail cams, but want to try them out with your classes first, now is the time to try them out! As always, please feel free to reach out to me with questions or requests. Have a great week! -Tracy

Weekly Newsletter Sept. 18th - 22nd, 2023

Hello again! This week's newsletter has some Getting to Know You activities linked in the "Resources" section. If you don't already use Kami, you should give it a try! It has a ready-made library of activities that can align to your classroom content, and also allows you to upload your own documents into an editable pdf for your students to use!  This week in the Digital Resources area, there are links to online tools that can be aligned to the Impacts of Computing domain within the Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards. Check them out, they're both fun and informative!  Finally, in the near future I hope to bring a set of Sphero Bolts into your buildings to work on some hands-on coding experiences with your students. Check out the links and photos for some innovative ways to use these tools within your classroom.  As always, feel free to reach out with any questions or requests!

Weekly Newsletter - September 11-15th, 2023

Welcome back! In this edition, you can find resources that may be useful for the start of the school year. Among them, setting up your Google Classroom (even adding a catchy animated Classroom banner!), and how to utilize the new feature of Practice Sets within Google Classroom. Another section of the newsletter that you may find helpful this week is the Digital Citizenship Resources portion. This section is comprised of resources which may align with your classroom or SEL curriculum, and also align with the Computer Science and Digital Fluency standards.  If there is an area of Ed Tech that you would like to be included in future newsletters, please don't hesitate to reach out. I look forward to working with all of you this year!
